| A volunteer making friends on Brava, Cape Verde |
Humanitarian Travel Abroad, LLC, provides international volunteer and vacation opportunities to people of all ages and professions. We work abroad with small non-profit organizations to create one-of-a-kind international volunteer experiences. Groups are limited to 10 to 12 participants depending on the destination. Having worked in dozens of countries on four continents, we are also available to consult with individuals and businesses regarding any aspect of humanitarian travel abroad, including help with itineraries, airfares and accommodations.
All scheduled programs are personally organized by Jeannie Hatcherson, Ph.D. As a cultural/medical anthropologist with many years experience on international volunteer missions, Jeannie provides unique cultural insights while on your tour. Activities include: art, music, dance and photography projects with underprivileged, handicapped and orphaned children and adults; painting and clean-up of rural and slum schools; and games, vocational instruction and ESL projects. We also tour important and off-the-beaten-track sights in the countries we visit. Projects for 2013 include volunteer opportunities with orphans, under privileged children and the disabled in Bulgaria and India. for more information send an inquiry to HTA LLC at humanitariantravelabroad@gmail.com.
